Challenge Brief

This is a strange challenge, because it's designed to show your ability to understand society while also demonstrating your level of cunning.

I like the band Queen. Actually, I like early Queen - especially the music they produced between the years 1977 to 1984.

While that was OK to admit in my teenage years, when I do it now, teenagers [13-19] look at me as if I've just admitted to being a serial killer.

Actually, the majority don't even do that, they either [1] look at me with a blank face [2] think I'm talking about the lady who lives in Buckingham Palace or [3] call me really old and wonder why anyone would like a band made up of pensioners.

While I would love Queen to be as popular today as they were in my teenage years, I accept that is a challenge too far, however I would love today's youth to stop thinking manufactured pop like 'One Direction' was the best thing ever created and start being fans of music created by musicians rather than focus groups.

What is required from you?

How would you make Rock Music [ie: any song where the sound of distorted guitar is - after the vocals - the dominant instrument] popular with 13-19 year olds?
